Day 49 Hypocrisy & Stupidity

Hello people. On this 49th day of my 100 Days of Angry I turn my fury on Hypocrisy and Stupidity. They generally go hand in hand. There are two camps here. There are the hypocrites who are simply too stupid to recognize their own hypocrisy and there are the hypocrites who hope you are too stupid to recognize their hypocrisy. Since today is the Federal holiday where we celebrate the birth of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., let's start there. Several groups across the nation staged protests today. One of Dr. King's most famous quotes from his "I Have a Dream" speech is "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character". In his name, these protesters are carrying signs reading "Black Lives Matter". If you really understood Dr. King's message your signs would read "All Lives Matter". Because they do. Instead you asked to be judged first by the color of your skin. After the Oscar nominations came out, the hashtag #AllWhiteOscars went viral, Asking that actors be judged first by the color of their skin and not by the quality of their performance. People in Ferguson, Missouri chose to mark today by comparing their "unrest" to the civil rights movement of the 60s. Really? Because I don't remember the March in Selma ending with rampant looting and buildings burned to the ground.. Maybe I missed something. My point is, Dr. King's message was a great one. It had purpose and hope. It was empowering and unifying. What is happening today is quite the opposite.
Next, Clint Eastwood's movie "American Sniper" broke box office records. It's based on the life of Navy Seal Chris Kyle. Leave it to Hollywood to show their true colors. Michael Moore, in what I can only assume was yet another desperate attempt to remain relevant, Tweeted this:
"My uncle killed by sniper in WW2. We were taught snipers were cowards. Will shoot u in the back. Snipers aren't heroes. And invaders r worse,"
Michael Moore, you give hypocrites a bad name. Cowards? Did you not build your limited career by misrepresenting yourself in order to humiliate unsuspecting people? You're a Jackass. Not to be outdone, Seth Rogen likened the movie to Nazi propaganda films during World War II. I can't even begin to address the hypocrisy here. Mr. Rogen, you're a pompous, ungrateful, little turd.
Finally, NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration released a report stating that 2014 was the hottest year on record. It made world news. They say greenhouse gas emissions continue to warm the planet. There's a problem though. It probably isn't true. Although the media went on to say that "Global Warming Deniers" were ignoring the report, what they didn't tell you, what they never tell you, is that NASA went on to say that "most of the world's land did not have record breaking heat" and that they "were 38% sure" that 2014 broke the record. Now, I'm no math major but 38% is a bit sketchy. That tells me that they're 62% sure it wasn't. They went on to say this year is on pace to break the 2014 record! Let me get this straight. You're 38% sure that 2014 was the hottest year ever and now, 19 days into 2015, you're pretty sure this year will break last year's record? Now that's top notch science right there! I'm 38% sure you're a bunch of idiots. Make that 50% sure!

Day 48, Are You Kidding Me!

Hello People. As my 100 Days of Angry rolls on, I'm beginning to think people are doing stuff just to get on my list! I can't think of one other explanation for this....
#48 Foreign Policy. At first I thought I was dreaming. Then I thought, perhaps, I was watching a bad Saturday Night Live skit. But, sadly, no. It was actually happening. After our government leaders decided to blow off the French Unity March last week, offering a plethora of excuses, one more lame than the other, they finally came up with this flash of brilliance. Secretary of State John Kerry went to France today to convey America's "support" by bringing along James Taylor to sing "You've Got a Friend"! The ridiculousness of it all was only outweighed by the absurdity. Are you freaking kidding me? That's our response to a terrorist massacre of 17 people; A Sing-Along? If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed it. KumbayFreakinYa! I would laugh if I weren't so mortified. But, since our new Foreign Policy appears to be written by Don Kirshner, I have a few suggestions:
To Iran; we'll send Bob Dylan to sing "Everybody Must Get Stoned". I think they'll really like that!
To North Korea; Rockwell to sing "Somebody's Watching Me".
To Russia: The Beatles (what's left of them) to sing "Get Back"
To China: Kathy Griffin. No song. I just can't stand her. I wish she'd go away.
To North Africa: The Police to sing "Don't Stand So Close To Me".
To Syria: The Gap Band with "You Dropped A Bomb On Me".
To Afghanistan: Helen Reddy with "Ain't No Way To Treat A Lady"
And, to Terrorist groups around the world: Wynonna with "Your Day Will Come"!
There you go Mr. President. Your "I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing" (The New Seekers) Foreign Policy Tour is ready to roll. I'm sure such a well thought out plan can't possibly fail. After all, in the immortal words of Donald O'Connor: "Make 'Em Laugh". More likely though, you're policy theme will be Judy Collins "Send In The Clowns"!

One Angry Day

Hello People! My 100 Days of Angry continues into the new year. I'm really angry today! Day #47. It started on Wednesday, when two animals burst into the offices of a French magazine and executed 12 innocent people. The tragedy was compounded during the take down two days later when 5 more innocent people died. 17 dead and 20 injured because, apparently, these monsters were upset over a cartoon. A Freaking Cartoon! My anger increased following the media coverage of this slaughter. First I'm told we have to "understand what motivates these attacks". Um, no. I don't care what you've decided their motivation is. I know what their motivation is. The killers screamed "Allah Akbar". Why do we insist on ignoring the obvious? Why is it that, seemly intelligent people, go out of their way to obscure what we all know is the truth? I'm sick of it. CNN "reporter" Christiane Amanpour referred to these barbarians as "activists"! ACTIVISTS! Here's a news flash for you Christiane, this is an activist:
This, my dear Christiane, is a TERRORIST!
One would think, with your shinny University of Rhode Island degree, you'd know that. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Now that we've cleared that up, my next question is; Where are the leaders of the Muslim world? Why are they not denouncing this blood thirst? Are they afraid they'll be next or are they using their silence to tacitly endorse this behavior? It's time for the leaders of this world to man up! These people are animals and they need to be treated as such. If you were walking through the woods and were attacked by a wild animal, would you first pause to consider why that animal was attacking you? Would you consider how, if you killed it, the other wild animals lurking in the woods would feel about that? Of course not. If you're attacked by a wild animal, you kill it. That's not radical thinking, it's common sense. Are we seriously going to wait until the next pack of wolves burst into an office in New York or LA before we do something about this? It's not going to stop on it's own. It's not going away. People, children included, are being slaughtered around the world and our political leaders are worried about who water-boarded a killer! We are not going to win over the hearts and minds of these animals. Our only option is to eliminate them. So, world leaders, get off your collective bleeding heart, multicultural, PC asses and put an end to this before more innocent people die!
Thank you,
Sway
