Olympic Update!

Hello my dear friends. Well, the games of the XXX Olympiad are in full swing and the laugh factor just keeps getting better! First, and my favorite so far, was the Ecuadorian weight lifter who, shall we say 'had an accident', on stage. Yup. She peed. right on stage. I'm still laughing about that one! Didn't see it? Then there was the 16-year old Chinese swimmer who, in winning the gold, swam faster than the men. That's not the funny part. The funny part is, after it was over, she was accused of 'doping' because no woman could possibly swim that fast. After her drug screen came up clean it was concluded that the Chinese must be genetically altering their athletes to win. That is certainly the logical conclusion! LOL! Let's see them test for that!

There was a gate crasher at the opening ceremonies who not only got onto the floor, she actually marched with the Indian team in the parade of nations! Olympic organizers say not to worry. They say she must have gone through security screening at some point...Oh those crazy Brits.

Swiss soccer player Michael Morganella, after his country lost to South Korea 2-1, Tweeted "I want to beat up all South Koreans. Bunch of mentally handicapped retards". Ouch. He has been expelled from the Olymipics and his Twitter account has been closed. Why didn't he just kick a chair like everyone else?

Finally, as NBC continues to manipulate it's Olympic coverage to maximize ad revenues, they burned themselves. Last night, after touting Missy Franklin's much anticipated 100m backstroke race for gold all night long, NBC ran a promo congratulating her on the win 5 minutes BEFORE they aired the race! Classic!
I just can't get enough of this stuff. It's a shame we can't do this every year!
